I currently work in a Health Information Management Program Office as an HIM Specialist and am an adjunct professor teaching college courses in HIM and medical coding.<\/p>\n<p>My HIM career began when I earned a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential in 1999. I later graduated with honors with an Associate degree in Health Information Technology through Santa Barbara City College in 2004, earned a Baccalaureate degree in Health Information Management through The College of St. Scholastica and subsequently obtained RHIA credentials in 2007, and completed a Healthcare Informatics Certificate and a Master\u2019s degree in Health Information Management through The College of St. Scholastica in 2009.
